my name is Marina Mogilko and I've been creating videos on YouTube since December 2014.

I started making videos in Russian when I was going through the admissions process to get into an MBA program in the USA. As an international student trying to get financial aid, I felt lonely and wanted to connect with fellow applicants. I though that I would share my journey on Youtube and would use the comment section to connect with others. I was surprised when my first video about GMAT got over 1000 views in a few weeks! Not only was I able to connect with other students, but I also realized that YouTube is something I really want to continue doing.

I run three channels in two different languages: Linguamarina (a channel about English), Silicon Valley Girl (a channel about living in ... Silicon Valley), and a channel in Russian.

We are also building products for language learners with the team of talented people at Linguatrip and Fluent Express.

I started my first course for Youtube creators in 2019 and I am super proud of a few students who already got their Silver Awards from the platform!
